Darrell Hackney Cut by Tuskers

A very quick stop at Tuskers practice today led to some surprising roster news.  QB Darrell Hackney has been cut by the Tuskers.

Hackney’s performance was not likely the issue as he looked decent on Thursday night, especially on the first drive.  He tailed off at the end of the night though, just as Brooks Bollinger started to shine.  The Tuskers obviously like what they see in Bollinger, and decided they didn’t need two starting quarterbacks.  Chris Greisen will serve as Bollinger’s back-up, provided the team does not bring in any additional QBs.

Hackney could still be picked up by another UFL team today.  Either way, except an official league announcement by Monday.  I’ll have more on this story as it develops.
